Your Special Day........... Enjoy. Birthday Card

Hi there guys, here is another post from me. It is about time eh.....so I was watching a video tutorial from #Martalapkowski and it got me all those ideas in my head, so offcourse I had to make a Mixed Media Card.....with the yummi digital papers from Marta offcourse and from the Junk Journal Studio the background papers. I just love making these kind of cards and working in my art journal. 

So what did I do, at first I worked with Gesso and glued my background paper on the card. Then I played with ModPodge and placed the digital paper Spring from the Junk Journal Studio onto my card. On top of that I worked with Washi tape here and there........

From the digital papers from Marta I cut out some flowers and butterflies, I have placed them onto my card randomly and colored them with some Aquacolors. Last but not least I placed the sentiment from Jenine Siemerink, just love to cut the words into a few pieces and devide them onto my card.

Uit het digitale papier van Marta heb ik wat bloemen en vlinders geknipt, deze heb ik willekeurig op mijn kaart geplakt en ingekleurd met wat Aquacolors. Last but not least plaatste ik de tekst van Jenine Siemerink, vind het zo leuk om de woorden in een paar stukjes te knippen en op mijn kaart te verdelen.

WE LOVE TO CREATE CHALLENGE #9 ANYTHING CREATIVE MIXED MEDIUM GOES WITH POLKADOODLES XXX

Hi there crafters out there, it is time for a Brand New Challenge over at the We Love To Create Challenge Blog....are you ready for it.....sponsored by the amazingly talented Polkadoodles!!

So what do I have in store for you for this challenge...

I made an Autumn Butterfly card, the ones that know me figured it out allready, I admit I am a Butterfly Addict, cannot help myself the butterfly is an amazing creature and I just love them. That's why I made a card with butterflies for the Challenge from We Love To Create.....

I started out with a piece of cardstock...I colored it with Distress Oxides, purple, orange and blue/green colors. I was using my Brayer to devide the colors on the paper for the background. I spritzed the inks with water and dried it with my Heattool.

After that my background was dry I played with some Gesso. Again with the Brayer I devided the Gesso on the paper untill I thought it was ligt enough. I have been repeating this a few times. 

After that, the background has been worked on with the Texture Galore, Honey Daisy and Vintage Text Stampsets. The Doodle Borders stampset is used all around my card. 

So what did I do next.....I had a second piece of cardstock or actually aquarell paper and played with water and distress oxides and Gesso.  Dried it up with my Heattool and than I stamped the Papillon butterfly on the paper with Versamark and embossed my butterfly. 

When My butterflies were embossed with white embossingpowder I took a babywhipe and tipped a bit of the ink on it, with the babywhipe I colored some corners of the butterfly. 

And here is the result. Than I played a bit with the Nuvo glitter Drops on the wings of the butterflies. And it gives them such a nice shimmer. 

After that I took the Paperpack Sentimentals and searched for a matching sentiment. I than cut out the words and placed them randomly onto the card.

So this is my card from upclose. I sure hope you like it and hopefully I have given you some inspiration on how to make a similar card like this one.

INSPIRATION POST WE LOVE TO CREATE, ANYTHING MIXED MEDIUM GOES XXX

Hello crafters, I have a little inspiration post for all you crafters. It has been a while since I posted something on Blogger, but from now on I will be here again. There will be some changes on the

 We Love To Create Challenge Blog.....

what it is you will find out on the 24th of September. I promise you it will be exciting and new....so untill than I have made a project for your inspiration and I hope you like it......

So here I go....

I have worked on a photoframe for a little inspiration for you this week. The backgrounds first layer was made with Gesso....I used a couple of stencils to work on the background. For that I used Light Modelling Paste and Crackle to go on top. I love how the flowers turned out. I played a little bit with the Metallic PanPastels and painted the frame with a layer of Interference Fluid and Antiquing Creme. 

Than rubbed with a babywipe and there ya go the background stayed a bit darker with the Metallic colour and the Flowers and the top of the frame came out a bit whiter. Last but not least I stamped an image of a family and placed the sentiment Forever Us, since family is the most important thing in the world.

I was having fun making a notebook...this time I worked on the background with Gesso as the first layer and a bit darker colours.....a bit of blue, reddish, green, blues and white....

When all the colours dried up I played with a flower stencil and used Crackle. A few dots of blue and red and a couple of sentiments and my notebook was ready. One last layer of Matte Gel Medium and my inspiration notebook for you guys is done. ..

I had fun making a Tag, The first layer on the background is Gesso, I played with a couple of PanPastels with purple and blue colours to create the background.

I mixed the PanPastels with water to let the colour spread all over the Tag. I worked with a stencil of flowers and crackle and right after that I was finished with that, 

 I colored a butterfly with the same colours PanPasels. Last but not least I stamped some sentiments and placed them on the Tag.

I had fun making this card, sounds a bit strange because it is a card that you sent to someone when a loved one has passed but still..I had fun making this card. And you can use this card for many other occasions offcourse...

The background is made with a layer of gesso, a bunch of panpastels mixed with water. When you play with PanPastels and water the colours mix so pretty all over your card or piece of paper that you are working with. So I used purple, orange and red. When the background dried up I stamped an image on it and last but not least I stamped a sentiment on my card.
