Hiya to all the crafters out there it is my turn to host the post for Die-namites......right before Christmas I managed to make a Wintery Vintage Baby Card using the wonderfull Elegant Heart Frame....from
This is the Elegant Heartframe that I worked with, don't you just love it, I do.....and you can do so many things with it, really you should try it out, just click the image and it will take you to the store where you can purchase it guys....don't waste any time and go over there ......
This is what I have made for your inspiration, I used the Elegant Heart frame but of course you can work with one of the the other amazing Dies from Die-Namites of course....just check out the store and you will find loads of fabulous dies ....oke here we go....
This is the Vintage Baby Card that I made, how I made it? I will tell you....I started out with a piece of Cardstock and cut it in 15 cm x 15 cm. I used one layer of brown paper and one layer of blue paper and on top of the paper I worked with a couple of stencils with Crackle Paste....just love Crackle Paste because it gives such a nice fragile look.....so to colour the background I played with Pearlescent Pan Pastels, did you ever try that out, especially with these your background gets a nice shimmer and the cracks are filled up too with the nice shimmer.....
Than I had this cute little baby image that I found on the internet and wanted to use it underneath the Frame. I cut it with blue paper and made dots on it and on top of the frame I put 3d accents to give the frame a dimensional look. On top a few pearls and underneath some lace to give it a more vintagy feel. I think when you make a card you don't always NEED a sentiment but incase of a baby card this wonderful sentiment could not be missed. I love this one.
I sure hope that I have given you some inspiration on how to make a Vintage Baby card and want to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.....
and don't forget
