Linda is hosting this fortnight's challenge which is Upcycle for Earth Day. Earth Day is April 20th this year which is just a few days away so Linda thought it would be good to encourage you to use something you would otherwise throw away for your craft project this time around. We have amazing projects from the DT this time, so check it out on the Challenge Blog guys.....
This is what I made
I had an old frame that I was gonna throw away because the inside was broken and the glass on the oudside was gone......but with this fabulous challenge theme I made a whole new frame out of it.....
This is what I made
I had an old frame that I was gonna throw away because the inside was broken and the glass on the oudside was gone......but with this fabulous challenge theme I made a whole new frame out of it.....
The inside was made with the Rusty hearts that Linda has in her Shop.....I wanted to spray paint some brown and pinkish colours on it, but that did not work....I had more paint on my fingers then on the hearts lol...so what I did was, I re-used the hearts and wrapped tape around it. Then sprayed some paint on it....that worked better.....
The background was made with the stampset from The Wendy Vecchi and Tissue Tape from The Tim Holtz, I still believe and allways will .....that The Wendy and Tim make a nice couple don't they......lol.....and offcourse as the people who know me tell me that I am the Queen of Crackle lol lol.....offcourse I used Crackle on the frame
So how about this .....I really love the Adirondack Color Wash, the brown and pinkish colours....they really mix so well too.....The frame itself is worked on with Tissue tape from The Tim Holtz.....love that too...and the Pennibs on the hearts for decoration.....lovely embellies......and on the top and bottom of the frame I placed a piece of lace and colored them with the Adirondacks too....and what about a Wendy stamp on the sides of the frame....just a bit to give it some more .....
And this is how the whole front looks.....I like it a lot.....what about you? you like what you see.....I really had fun making this weeks challenge Project, Upcycle for Earthday.....and you wanna have fun too guys, then come on over to the Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog....your about to see some amazing projects from my amazing teamies they made it just for your inspiration......
