Hiya ladies and gents, here we go on another beautifull Monday, wohoooo and yep there is another fabulous challenge on the

The challenge for this week is a hard one for a lot of people, ......so Show us your Favourite Stamp and yep there are a lot of favourite stamps that's what makes it sooooo difficult. But once you find it I bet you can make another fabulous creation and join into the challenge.....

Our regular FANTABULOUS sponsor is offcourse

and they are offering a fabulous prize to one winner.....check this out oke.......and doo join into the challenge if you wanna have a chance of winning this fabulous prize.

Oke here we go....this is what I made for this weeks challenge:

I decided to make a babycard. I did not have that much trouble to find my favourite stamp or actualy stamps....I chose the FABULOUS butterfly Just Fly from The Wendy Vecchi. And my other favourite one is the smaller Just Flutterby Butterfly from The Wendy Vecchi. I really love them to bits......love butterflies really I do but these little babies from The Wendy Vecchi are the most beautifull ones........So thank you Wendy for designing these pretty georgous ones....

I worked on the butterflies with Distress inks such as Wild Honey, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo and Weathered Wood. On top I have used the Crackle Accents, to give it that special look.

Don't you just love these butterflies?? I do......

I got this cute little baby from the Internet.....I worked on the picci with Crackle Accents, it gives an image such a pretty look......I have placed this georgous lace around the baby, it has a string of pearls around it too.....the lace is from my own stash......and was just waiting for the right moment to come out and that was this moment I quess LOL...

The sentiment if a freebie from the internet and I really like the letters.....it looks so vintagy.....don't you think?

And this is my project when it is finished......I am really pleased with it....and that does not happen that often LOL, I hope that you like it too..........The borders are worked on with the EK Succes Fleur de Lis Slim Edger Punch and the papers that I have used are from the Graphic 45 paperpack and yep they are really georgous......every border is also distressed with the Vintage Photo distress ink....and the paper distresser.....and I must tell ya that this little tool is really a prescious one in my stash.....love it to bits.....it gives your paper a truly vintagy look.
So now this is it for me.....the rest is up to you guys.....so wanna have lots of fun and join into the fun, then come on over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge Blog and while your at it, check out the AMAZING projects and truly PIECES OF ART from my even more AMAZING teamies...wohoooooo....

Sketch Saturday BIRTHDAY BLOGOVERSARY Challenge #157

"Happy Birthday to Us!"

Sketch Saturday is 3 years old

You'd better grab a cup of coffee and sit down, cause are you in for a LONGGGGG post.......here we go......

Thank you to each and every one of our amazing challengers, generous Sponsors, talented Design Team (past & present) as well as our fabulous Guest Designers for keeping this challenge blog going for another year :)

By way of a personal thank you, Sketch Saturday challengers are invited to enter our personal blog candies! (our Party Bag Candy or PBC)
Some of the design team have put together a small package to say thank you to one of our challengers, please go to each blog and put your name down on the relevant post to be in with a chance of winning a PBC.

To keep it fair, there are a few rules that apply:
You are only eligible to enter each DT members party bag candy once, and ONLY if you've already taken part in this weeks challenge too (please provide a link to your work for each PBC you enter)
We want to thank sketch saturday challengers so this is why it's only open to SS entrants!
(we will be checking! and all entries that are not eligible will be deleted)

Each PBC will close on the DT members blogs at 8:00 AM (UK time) on Friday 3rd June, please note: FRIDAY MORNING. No entries will be accepted after this time, sorry.
This is so that the DT members can let me know their winner's name so that I can get the post ready for the following morning to announce the winners :)

However, the normal Sketch Saturday challenge (open to all who leave a link on this blog) will run until 11:59PM on the Friday evening as normal, so if you are too late for a PBC you can still win a super-amazing prize!

The sketch is the same for both obviously, so make your card/project and leave a direct link here so that you are eligible to win this weeks fabulous prize kindly donated by The Craft Barn, then, if you want to be entered into a party bag candy prize draw too giving you the chance to win an extra prize, leave the same link on the blog of the DT member too, easy eh?

REMEMBER, as is normal with our challenges, please link back to us in your blog post and please leave only a DIRECT LINK to the post of your card/project, links to just your blog will not be accepted, so if you come back and notice that your entry has been deleted then that will be the reason why.

So, do you want to know what the fabulous prize is by The Craft Barn ?

I have colored this georgous girl from Sarah Kay and used my copics for it, placed her on a nestie and the borders are worked on with Star Dust Stickles.....

So this is the front of my Party Bag Candy.....the lovely lace is from my own stash...just love this lace....very vintagy......and all the borders are worked on with the paper distresser......and I placed the sentiment also on a nestie.....so this is the front but every front has a back doesn't it??

I had a handmade stamp for such a long time I just love those little butterflies and thought that I would use it on the back of the PBC....the border is from the EK Succes Punch.....and I love it......

And here is the whole PBC when it is finished.....so ladies wanna join into OUR Birthday or Blogoversary Challenge? You do eh??? And if you join into the challenge you can even win a fabulous prize......wohooooo

Sooo are ya ready...here we go wohoooo
This is what I made with our challenge for this week, Show us Your Studio 490 Style...

So I decided to make a tag with The Wendy Vecchi Style, Studio 490. The background is masked with a leaf and I have used the Just Fly butterflies from Wendy and worked on them with Distress inks such as Weathered Wood, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint and Wild Honey. I think the Butterfly is just beautifull....and can you see the crackle in there??

To finish it I have used the Crackle Accents on the wings. The border looks like Wendy's but since I don't have one myself from the Art Parts I made it myself. Wendy's is offcourse much more beautifull.....

The sentiment is from The Tim Holtz Odds and Ends and I placed a Philosophy Tag underneath. On the bottom of the tag I have placed some metal brads

And this is my whole Tag......I am very pleased with it especially since I never made a Studio 490 project....and I think it worked out pretty good.....Hope you like it too ladies and gents, so wanna have fun....and play ...come on over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge Blog and do join in and while your there just check out the AMAZING (AS ALLWAYS) Projects of my even more AMAZING teamies....wohoooooo

Isn't it just great??

This is what I made.....

"When your eyes are toooo close, you'll be wearing glasses in due time" is the old wives' tale that I have used,

The "Eye"stamp is from The Tim Holtz, Oddities. The eyes are worked on with Crackle Accents but I think it was still to wet when I took the picci, so you cannot really see that it is crackled.

The background is also from the Oddities stamp set, and it was colored with Distress inks, Vintage Photo, Aged Mahogany, Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain as well as embossed with the copper embossingpowder. And I was figuring something out and thought that I would use the Crackle Accents on there too....The flowers were made from The Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die and the papers are from Basic Grey, Curio.

I got the lace from my own stash...and the silver colored buttons from my moms knitting case.....I have placed two little flowers in there......

And this is my project from the Old Wives'tale when it is finished......I hope you will like it and will get your inspiration from it. When you want to join in come on over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge Blog for some more inspiration from my AMAZING teamies...my goodness you are not going to believe your eyes, cause it is truly amazing......so check out the individual blogs of my teamies oke?

The borders are distressed with Dried Marigold, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo.

You can open the Babybox on both sides.....and it is not that small so you can surprise someone with lots of goodies for the baby.......

The flower has the same distressed colours and was made with The Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Bigz Dies. I just love the Floral Die from The Tim.....they are so much fun to work with....and you can make yourself some wonderfull flowers.....I had some lace in my closet and it was just waiting for me to be used....so I colored the white lace with the Distress inks and gave it a bit of peach color.....

The Alphabet Letters are worked on with Crackle Accents, to give the letters that special look.......made the picci's a little bit bigger so you can see the crackle accents better......

And this is my project when it is finished.....I found a little baby on the internet on the Graphics Fairy...at least I think that's where I found it.....but isn't it just tooo cute.....and at the bottom of the bag I have placed some very special lace.....I just love it.....
