DT Call on Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog

Hiya ladies and gents......on Sketch Saturday we have a DT call..I copied the message from my lovely Teamie Jo.....Check this out oke...

Calling all card makers!

We are looking for 2 new design team members

Here's a bit of info about joining SS...


As we are a sketch challenge blog, we don't have freebies to give our DTs,

I don't ever ask for freebies either, I want people to sponsor us and be happy to donate a prize for our winner without thinking they have to give to us too,

so freebies, for us, isn't an issue, although when we are offered them we are extremely grateful of course! :)


Duties would be:

We would require you to make a DT card each week, using the sketch provided.

Your card will need to be ready each Friday before the challenge goes live on the Saturday. If Friday's are busy for you then you can of course upload it earlier. If you are worried about uploading direct to SS then you can upload your pic to our private DT blog where one of us will upload it for you.

I give the Design Team weeks of sketches in advance, so you won't be asked for any last minute cards

We would need you to leave comments each week too, currently 10 comments per 100 entrants, but of course you can comment on more if you wish to, I appreciate that we all lead busy lives so this is why you will be allocated a group of numbers to leave comments for our fab challengers.

You would be required to design a sketch of your own when it's your DT week, currently once a year, although you wouldn't get a DT week until next year as this year is already arranged. Gives you time to see how we do it ;)

When you do have a DT week, I can help you digitise your sketch if you need me to, but the design will be yours and you take the credit.

You would be required to find a sponsor for your DT week, and arrange the prize, email the winner etc.

You would also need to find a Guest Designer for your DT week and for the rest of the month that your DT week falls in. If you are unsure who to ask, I suggest that your GD be someone who actually takes part in our challenges already, as this is a nice way to say thank you.

Simon Says Stamp and Show, Show us your Masked Projects...

Hiya ladies and gents....here we are....it is Monday and yep that means it is time for another

Challenge on Simon Says Stamp and Show....

this week we would like you to Show your Masked project, a card, purse, layout or whatever as long as it has something Masked...so get your thinking cap on ladies and gents and craft away .....and you can win a wonderfull prize so come on over....

I decided after long and hard thinking to make a Spring Tag...I have used the Masking technique on the butterflies. The colors for the Spring Tag are Dried Marigold, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo and Rusty Hinge. The butterflies are from The Wendy Vecchi Rubber Stamp, Just Fly.

Let me tell ya I just love these fabulous Butterflies.. Thank you Wendy.....wohoooo.... they were stamped on the tag itself and on the fabulous colored paperpack from Graphic 45, Romantique. Can't help myself but also love this paper .....yep.....

The background stamp is from The Tim Holtz, Fairy Garden. and the sentiment is also from The Tim Holtz, his odds and ends. The white flowers were actually white roses can you believe it hehehe...and are worked on with distress inks and with Distress Stickles Rockcandy and Glossy accents also on the butterflies and Distress Stickles star dust. I think it gives that extra's to the flowers......The lace was just laying in my closet and I thought that that would give the project that finishing touch.

And here we go, this is what I made for this weeks challenge

I wanted to make something different then a Christmas card....so I thougth I will make a little bit of a spring card nice purple and green colors.....and remember purple is my favourite....really just love those colors...I used this pretty stamped up image from Sarah Kay....soo cute.....and I colored her with my copics and yep used a lot of glitz and glimmers......

And this is the card when it is finished.....those fabulous colorfull papers are from Basic Grey....can you remember which one? Yep Wisteria....just love it those colors yummie....absolutely my fav...the borders I colored with the purple cats eye..

DT CALL ON THE PRAIRIE FAIRY CHALLENGE BLOG

Hiya ladies......Our Queen Fairy (Roberta) is looking for new DT members......yep that's right...NEW DT members and Nope we (the old DT hehehe) are not leaving at all.....Roberta wants to expand the DT Princesses.....soooo check this out....I copied the text from the Prairie Fairy Fun Friday Challenge Blog, check it out ladies.....


That's right! We are a having a DT call, but our lovely fairy princesses are not leaving us. We are just adding to the family!

What we are looking for is 5 new FAIRY PRINCESSES to invite to our little meadow.

What are we looking for?
Well, I have recently started including both PNG and JPG formats of my images in purchases. One of the main reasons why is for digital scrapbookers to use! While I am not excluding those of you who are card makers from entering, I would like to see some traditional as well as digital scrapbookers added to the team. You will of course need to have your own personal blog that you post to regularly.

What is expected from you?

1. You will be required to create ONE project every other friday for the Fairy Fun Fridays challenge blog following the challenge requirements for each specific challenge and post it to your own personal blog.

2. You would be required to participate in any occasional special events or blog hops.

3. On the fridays between the challenge posts, one or more of the fairy princesses create a second project for that specific challenge to post on that friday, just as a reminder of what the challenge is and to spotlight that/those princesses on the challenge blog. Each member is required to take a turn making a midway post and once each princess has taken her turn, we start a new cycle.

THAT'S IT!

We are a pretty easy going gang and close like a family! We have a private blog that we post to and visit each other which you will be invited to.

HOW TO ENTER:

I am posting a freebie which I would like you to use to create a project with. Anything you like! If you are a digital scrapbooker and would like the colored PNG versions as well just email me and I will send them to you. I would however love to see any digital scrapbookers who know how to digitally color PNG images themselves as well, so I will include the uncolored PNGS with the colored ones too!

POST your creation on your blog and include a little write up on the DT call for me and add a link back to the Prairie Fairy Blog. While you are at the Prairie Fairy blog add a link to your project in the linky there.

Simon Says Stamp and Show, Show us your Newest Stamp

Hiya Ladies and Gents...a New Year and New Challenges.....here we go, we have another fabulous

Challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show...

and it is Show us your Newest Stamp...that is an easy one eh?

So here we go...

I decided to make a Large wine label, I made it for my nextdoor neighbours, cause every year on New Year's Eve he is baking on the 31th of December. So we allways go over there and have some glüwein and have fun.

I really had fun with my newest stamps, I could not decide which one to use so I used both of my newest stamps.

The first one is The Wendy Vecchi Rubber Stamp Just Fly, I stamped the image of the wonderfull butterfly and cut it out, then worked on it with Distress inks, Peeled Paint, Barn Door and Vintage Photo. She made it 3D by cutting the stamp again and on top of it she placed Glossy Accents from Ranger.

The second stamp is The Tim Holtz Fairy Garden, it was stamped on the wine label and worked on with the Distress inks and Glimmermist from Tattered Angels.

Offcourse I could not work with the Distress inks without using my blending tool. Very important that you have a blending tool to work on the Distress inks....I just love it and it makes it so much easier.....The borders of the Wine Label are worked on with the EK Succes Edger Punch. Gives your project such a fabulous vintagy touch. The string of pearls and the lace is from my own stash and was just waiting there to be used.

Can you believe that I made this picture in our backyard hehehe, there was still a lot of snow there so I thought I take the picture there...also because the wine label is a little bit dark...and I had a hard time to take a good picture of .

Hiya ladies I wish you a HAPPY NEWYEAR.....wohooooo we are in a new craftingyear....the year 2011.......Can you believe it????? time sure flies....

I have made a wintery card....with this cutiepie.....I have colored Tilda with my copics and it is so much fun.....used a lot of glitz and glimmer.....

I worked with the wonderfull papers from Tilda.. they were just waiting in the closet to be used again.....I love the colors.....and the sentiment is from Krista...the snowflakes underneith the roses are from Mcgill....so nice to use underneith flowers...and I made some winter or snowflowers with the powder snow...and on the bottom of the card some pearls..
